The Malibu Foundation: A 501(c)(3) organization created to support Los Angeles County communities as they work to create more resilient communities after natural disasters fueled by the climate emergency. The Malibu Foundation is providing comprehensive, needs-based relief for victims of the January 2025 wildfires - including the Palisades, Eaton, Hurst, and Sunset Fires - prioritizing the most vulnerable populations, including low-income families, seniors, individuals with disabilities, and uninsured households.
California Community Foundation: Since 2003, the CCF Wildfire Recovery Fund has provided over $30 million to communities affected by disasters. CCF ensures that resources reach those most in need, leveraging partnerships with community-based organizations and government agencies while using data from CalFire and the CDC’s Social Vulnerability Index to prioritize underserved communities.
Los Angeles Regional Food Bank: In partnership with government agencies and community partners, the Food Bank responds swiftly to meet the urgent needs of neighbors impacted by wildfires and other disasters. While they provide food assistance year-round, their disaster response efforts focus on ensuring families have access to nutritious food and essential supplies when needed.
Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation: The LAFD Foundation provides vital equipment and funds critical programs to help the LAFD save lives and protect communities.
