FEDERAL & LEGISLATION SESSIONS BEGIN

Our 2022 Democratic Party election process succeeded in strengthening our voice in the Senate and minimizing the power of the re-established Republican majority in the House of Congress. Yet, our party will still face challenges in enacting our party agenda through the Federal process. The California State legislators will operate as they have in the past with Democrats in control. Both legislative branches are now in the beginning phase for the 2023 through 2024 sessions, introducing new legislation and our PCDCC Legislation Committee will soon begin the task analyzing and submitting measures for endorsement consideration by our organization. The California Democratic Party Legislation Committee will do the same.
As a Democratic organization, legislation which we endorse represents where our party stands on issues. Any measure we endorse and which is enacted into law becomes a testament the Democratic Party delivers. Legislation not becoming law still stands, in the public eye and demonstrates what our Democratic Party endeavors for the benefit of all. It is our hope this will sway more voters to choose Democratic Party candidates who will continue our progress.
The PCDCC legislation Committee faces our own challenge for the current legislative session. Collectively, our mission is to inform the public on the value of electing Democrats into office and the process to get them elected. The legislation committee expresses the values that represent our party. However, we are experiencing a shortage of volunteers to carry out these missions. Legislation covers many topics and issues. Processing them all for endorsement consideration by our membership requires a sizeable team. The same is true for our other committees who are tasked with advertising our successes and continuing our progress toward electing our candidates. Legislation we endorse provides the reasons to win elections.
Consider joining our Legislation Committee Team, or other teams within the PCDCC community. Registered Democrats and a willingness to contribute to the Democratic Party mission are the only requirements. Different opinions and experiences give us knowledge and strength and strength in numbers is what wins elections.
