The Placer County Democratic Central Committee is officially postponing our 2020 Roosevelt-Kennedy dinner. We will attempt to re-schedule this dinner for late summer or early fall.
This dinner is our principal fundraising event for the year! It brings in about 70% of our annual Operating Budget. While we have postponed or canceled several events already, and more expected in the near future, our monthly expenses continue to accrue. This includes a final lease payment for our Headquarters building due at the end of May. In the absence of our fundraising dinner, we are asking for your donations in order to continue our work in Placer County.
If you have NOT purchased tickets to the dinner, please consider making a recurring $20 donation through our Victory Fund for the next four to six months. This will go a long way toward helping us pay our monthly expenses and build our war-chest for the fall campaign season. If you prefer, you can make a one-time donation of $100 (or any amount of your choosing).
If you HAVE already purchased your tickets, we intend to honor your purchase at the re-scheduled dinner. If you’d prefer a refund of your donation, please contact us at info.pcdp@gmail.com to request a refund.
This COVID-19 pandemic has illustrated why we must continue to work to bring change to our representation both locally and in Washington D.C. We can not continue to let climate and science deniers drag our nation down. Our leaders have failed to keep us safe, so we must remove them on November 3rd.
The Victory Fund is always a great way to support our local efforts to elect Democrats to office. Please consider making a recurring donation of $10 / month (or more, if possible). These small, monthly donations provide a reliable foundation upon which we can build our campaigns.
We look forward to seeing you all again, in person, once this current crises has passed. In the meantime, please continue to take all precautions for your well-being.
In solidarity,
Placer County Democratic Central Committee
