Meet Jessica Morse

Jessica Morse, a Placer County native, has officially thrown her hat in the ring for California’s 3rd Congressional District, the most geographically diverse in California. She states the residents of Placer County deserve a representative who works with us and for us, especially in support of women’s reproductive rights. To her, this is critical as the seat is currently held by Kevin Kiley, who has maintained an anti-choice record and, if re-elected, would be the deciding vote against women’s interests.

She believes VOTERS WANT:

  • A sustainable/predictable cost of living

  • Safety in their homes, work and schools

  • To be heard and valued by their Congressional representative

“We need a defender of our democracy,” she states. “Democracy is in an existential crisis, and we need a representative to defend our election rights.” She feels partisan games need to stop, and the “people’s business” needs to be the primary focus. The election process needs to be safeguarded by volunteers and grassroots participation.

In our conversation, she proudly reminded us of her family’s long history in Placer County and their efforts to protect our forest and recreational areas. As the Federal government owns 57% of the forest land in California, her knowledge and recognition as a national leader in forest resilience and protection would usher in the crucial expertise needed to reduce the threat of wildfires throughout Congressional District 3.

Jessica and her team are currently establishing headquarters in Roseville. She is eager to meet with voters and urges them to reach out to her team at www.morseforcongress.com ,reminding us that “our democracy is only as good as what we give…volunteers and grassroots participation are vital”.

At the November California Democratic convention, Jessica received the Democratic endorsement. She is eager to reach out to those wanting to be campaign volunteers and potential voters.
